Full-Time employees are eligible to participate in our retirement plan. The City Offers a 401(a) plan, with a 6% employee contribution and the City contributes a 12%. In addition, employees can participate in the deferred 457 plan. Law Enforcement personnel participates in the Florida Retirement System (FRS)
Full-Time employees are eligible to receive 3 additional leave days under the categories of: (2) Personal Days and (1) Birthday.
As an eligible City of Doral employee, you may enroll yourself and eligible dependents for coverage in one of the offered medical plans.
Employees are encouraged to exercise their right to vote outside of their scheduled working hours and may be granted leave during polling hours to vote in federal, state or local elections
The City provides up to four (4) weeks of paid parental leave to employees following the birth of an employee's child or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption or foster care. The paid parental leave runs concurrently with Family Medical Leave.
A full‐time employee is granted up to three (3) working days of leave with pay in the unfortunate event of a death in their immediate family, or up to five (5) working days of leave with pay to attend the funeral or memorial services of an immediate family member outside the State of Florida.

As part of our wellness initiatives, we offer a convenient-in-house fitness center. The employee fitness center is conveniently located inside City Hall and the Police Station. They offer a variety of ameneties to help you reach your fitness goals.
